Start with the right problem, not a technical specification.

Many technology projects fail before a line of code is even written. The problem only gets loosely defined, a scope gets agreed and then a team starts building without anyone truly aligning on what the outcome should look like. By the time that becomes apparent, the budget has been spent.

Our delivery model puts understanding the problem first, shows you something real before any build budget is committed, then delivers at a fixed price against an outcome you have already seen and shaped.

Most businesses have been here before.

Time-and-materials is the default billing model across the technology industry. It charges for hours worked rather than outcomes delivered, which means the supplier has little incentive to nail down the problem clearly at the start. Ambiguity can be comfortable when you are billing by the day but for the client, it is expensive.

The scope was never properly defined

When the underlying problem is not identified at the start, projects drift. Scope creeps through change request after change request, consuming budget without moving toward anything the business actually needed.

You were asked to approve something you could not evaluate

Technical specs are written in a language most business decision-makers would not claim to fully understand, so signing off becomes a formality. When the solution does not match what anyone had in mind, both sides point to the document and disagree about whose interpretation was right.

The people who needed to use it were not involved until it was finished

Users get consulted at the start, set aside during the build and handed a finished product at the end. By that point, changing anything meaningful is expensive enough that it usually does not happen.

The final bill reflected effort, not value

Change requests accumulate and the delivered solution often does what was specified rather than what was needed, a distinction that only becomes clear once the money has been spent.

Discovery, prototype, delivery. Every time.

01
Discovery

Understand the problem before proposing a solution

Every engagement begins with structured, expert-led discovery. Our consultants ask the questions that get to the real business problem rather than the symptoms presented in the brief or a solution someone has already decided on, working to understand the underlying challenge and what resolving it would actually change for the business.

We work in plain language throughout. Technical options are translated into business terms so every stakeholder can engage properly, push back where needed and feel confident in the direction before anything is built. AI helps us capture and synthesise what we learn accurately across sessions, so detail is not lost between conversations.

Discovery concludes with a shared understanding of the problem, the people affected by it, the outcome we are working toward and the shape of the right solution. Not a lengthy requirements document nobody reads past page three.

02
Prototype

Something you can use, not something you can read

Instead of handing you a technical specification and asking you to approve something on paper, we build a working proof of concept you can actually interact with. This is a functioning version of the solution your users and stakeholders can navigate, test and give direct feedback on, not a wireframe or a set of Figma screens.

That changes what feedback looks like. People respond to actual behaviour rather than their interpretation of a document, problems get identified and corrected early before they carry a cost and by the time the session concludes both sides have a concrete shared picture of what will be built. That is what makes a fixed-price proposal possible.

We can only price a build confidently when the scope is genuinely understood by everyone in the room. The prototype is how that understanding gets established.

03
Build and adoption

Delivered to an agreed scope, at a fixed price

With the outcome defined and expectations aligned, the build begins. Our consultants have deep expertise across the Microsoft platform and every solution is engineered to be maintainable, scalable and suited to the organisation it will run in, not just functional on handover day.

AI accelerates elements of the build including core engineering, documentation and testing, with our consultants directing those tools and making the decisions about architecture, approach and quality standards. These decisions are made by people who have delivered comparable projects before and know what good looks like and the efficiency gain does not come at the expense of that judgement.

Adoption is part of the engagement rather than an afterthought, because a well-built solution the team does not use delivers no value. Onboarding, training and embedding support are built into every project, as that is where the return on the investment is actually realised.

Where our approach makes a practical difference.

01

Know what you are agreeing to before you approve it

A working prototype accompanies the specification document. You see the solution to test it, use it and shape it before any build budget is committed.

02

A fixed price becomes possible because the outcome has already been validated

We can only quote confidently for a build once both sides have seen and agreed what is being built and the rapid prototype is what makes that possible. The fixed price follows from it.

03

The people who will use the solution help shape it

Your users interact with something real while it can still be changed and their feedback goes directly into the build rather than a backlog reviewed months later. Adoption is built in from the start.

04

AI makes the process faster without reducing what you get

AI accelerates elements of the engineering on every engagement, with our consultants deciding how those tools are applied and holding themselves to the same quality standards throughout. Faster delivery does not mean a reduced scope or a lower standard.

Have a problem worth solving? That is exactly where we start.

The right tools matter less than the people using them.

We are a Microsoft partner consultancy with practitioner-level expertise across data and analytics, business applications, modern workplace and custom development. Our consultants have delivered across a wide range of industries and organisations, from owner-managed businesses to complex multi-site operations and that experience shapes how they approach discovery as much as how they write code.

Our approach works because of the quality of the questions our consultants ask and the judgement they apply in translating a business problem into a technical solution. AI has made parts of that process faster, but the accountability our consultants carry for every outcome has not changed. The tools do not carry that accountability.

We are open with clients about where AI is used across our delivery, with discovery and adoption remaining human throughout. The engineering stages are where AI-assisted tooling is applied, under the direction of consultants who know what a well-built solution looks like and will not compromise that standard for pace.

Microsoft Partner expertise

Practitioner-level depth across Power BI, Fabric, Dynamics 365, Azure, Microsoft 365 and Power Platform, built through delivery rather than certification.

Fixed-price delivery

A fixed price is only possible when both sides genuinely agree on what is being built. Our discovery and prototype process is what makes that confidence achievable.

People-led throughout

Discovery and adoption are entirely human-led. AI is applied to the engineering stages, directed by consultants who own the outcome.

Transparent about AI

We tell clients clearly where AI is used, what it is doing and who is accountable for the outputs. There is no ambiguity about that on any engagement.

Every output from a Circyl engagement is owned and accountable to us, not to the tools we used to produce it.

Most good projects start with a problem, not a brief.

If you have something worth improving in your business and have not yet worked out what solving it would involve, talking to us is a reasonable place to start. We will ask the right questions and give you an honest view of what we think it would take.
