Canal & River Trust benefit from thorough Business Intelligence review and roadmap
Following a period of significant growth, Circyl has added another client to its extensive portfolio, supporting a well-known, UK-based charity with the modernisation of its existing Business Intelligence solution.
Responsible for looking after 2,000 miles of waterways across the UK, Canal & River Trust were keen to integrate their systems, so they could successfully ingest data for use in BI reports and data analytics.
With a large number of solutions and data sources spread throughout the organisation, it was becoming difficult for the business to consolidate data in one central location for consistent reporting, with the existing legacy FTP solution and on premises-data warehouse consolidating it through SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
To address this, Circyl is planning to conduct a strategic discovery engagement to understand the landscape in greater detail, so they can identify the key integration points and processes required to deliver a new centralised hub and modernised BI platform.
By outlining a development roadmap for future updates and installations, Canal & River Trust will have a better understanding of the proposed changes, priorities and timescales for delivery.
Roger Peacock, Business Development Manager at Circyl, commented: “We are very excited to be supporting a reputable charity like Canal & River Trust, who are instrumental in maintaining and improving waterways across the UK.
“Using our extensive technical knowledge and expertise, we will work alongside the business to design and deliver a sophisticated centralised hub that will form the wider data model and source the organisation’s ongoing BI and data analytics.
“A project of this size would not be possible without the implementation of a flexible solution that is tailored to meet the unique needs of the organisation, as failing to execute this element properly would negatively impact their ability to harness and process data.
“Through this roadmap and business intelligence project, the organisation will be able to streamline existing processes, making it much easier for them to uncover important insights.
“Having previously worked alongside other high-profile clients on similar projects, we are confident that our collective experience and expertise will allow Canal & River Trust to enhance their existing processes, giving them the tools needed to analyse data and build engaging reports.”
