Drawing upon Circyl’s SharePoint expertise, SMC UK will now benefit from enhanced information management and collaboration as they look move to a modern cloud-based solution.

With over 40 years of trading expertise in the UK, SMC is a global manufacturer of pneumatic and automation technology with a strong reputation for innovation and client support. Established in 1978, the organisation’s UK subsidiary is based in Milton Keynes and is responsible for producing a range of 12,000 items, helping customers solve their factory automation challenges.

Having experienced significant growth in recent years, Circyl’s experienced team of software consultants will support SMC with the creation and deployment of a core Intranet platform hosted in Microsoft SharePoint Online. This initial project is focused on the HR and Marketing teams and will be used to demonstrate how a powerful Intranet with a single, trusted version of the truth for all business information can drive better collaboration and enhance communication throughout the company.

Circyl have experienced a significant increase in the volume of new Intranet projects in the last 12 months and are therefore well-equipped to help SMC achieve their objectives, delivering the new solution without disrupting ongoing operations.

Jason Betteridge, Managing Director at Circyl, commented:

“We are pleased to be working with SMC again after having built a Business Intelligence Proof of Concept for them last year. Given the knowledge we have of deploying cloud-based intranet solutions, I am certain that this SharePoint migration will also be a tremendous success, as we help SMC capitalise on their recent growth.

“In an age where hybrid working has become the new working normal, more businesses than ever are looking towards cloud-based solutions to ensure their employees can work at any time, from any location.

“A move to a SharePoint solution will provide employees with greater flexibility, enabling company-wide collaboration whilst ensuring the necessary security measures are in place. I am excited to see what the future holds for SMC UK once this solution has been introduced.”
