A growing number of businesses so far this year have been keen to review and improve their existing data strategies so they can reap the benefits of improved decision making.

One such business is a UK airport, who have become the latest organisation to approach Circyl to leverage their data strategy consulting process to review how they collate and analyse business information. In recent months, the airport team had identified that having multiple applications and reporting solutions has created process inefficiencies and therefore want to centralise information into a single trusted source that all users could rely upon. The Circyl team will be delivering a comprehensive review of their existing approach to business analysis and reporting including how any new solution can be fully maintainable in-house to ensure self-sufficiency for the organsiation.

The initial engagement will advise on how creating a core Power BI reporting platform that puts data in the hands of decision makers could enhance the analysis of key business metrics such as operational financials, flight rotations, fuel costs and freight. Any recommended solution will need to scale over time so the design will need to cater for the inclusion of data from across the organisation as requirements develop.

This project is one of many Data Strategy Engagements that Circyl has been awarded recently, highlighting a data-focused trend from businesses throughout 2024.

Managing Director at Circyl, Jason Betteridge commented: “Our Data Strategy Engagements have become extremely popular, as a growing number of businesses realise the long-term benefits of having a clear strategy that can deliver a useable solution as quickly as possible.

“That being said, decision makers do not always feel comfortable making important technical decisions, especially if they have had an inconsistent experience with the solutions available to them. In these situations, it helps to have specialists take a detailed look at how information is managed and suggest improvements based on the findings.

“That will be the process followed here, as we take a closer look at the various applications being utilised and align our recommendations with the needs of the airport’s users to help them achieve their long-term data objectives.

“As such, we are very much looking forward to working with the wider team and helping them drive change across the organisation.”
